Across the Borough of Stockton on Tees more than 10,000 Sunflower seeds have been distributed through businesses, to individuals, in schools, youth groups, care homes and housing associations.

As well as remembering, researching and reflecting on the lives of the 1,245 and others who gave their lives through conflict, many are using this time as an opportunity to bring their communities closer together – a lasting legacy inspired by loss – but which helps those around us have a more positive future.

You can see examples of projects by clicking on the links below and if you're involved in a 1,245 Sunflowers community project please let us know and send us some pictures.
